Connect Twilio for SMS
Connect your own Twilio sender in Settings → SMS. Twilio account charges, sender registration and destination restrictions still apply.
Prepare a sender
An administrator needs a Twilio Account SID, Auth Token and SMS-capable sender number. Follow Twilio’s setup for that number and destination. US local ten-digit business messaging uses A2P 10DLC registration; toll-free numbers have a different verification process. Registration is not guaranteed to finish immediately.
Connect in Stacks
Open Settings → SMS and find Bring your own Twilio. Enter Account SID, Auth Token and the From number in international format, such as +15551234567. Choose Connect Twilio. Keep the Auth Token private. Saving validates the submitted configuration; it is not a successful message-delivery test.
Test the relevant feature
Use a permitted test recipient and inspect the actual Twilio delivery result. Appointment messages, review requests and configured negative-feedback alerts can use this connection. Recipient details, feature settings and applicable consent still matter; connecting a provider does not send every possible alert automatically.
Managed texting
Bring-your-own Twilio works on Free and paid plans. Where enabled by the platform, AI Pro can instead use managed texting with a 500-message monthly cap. Availability is shown on the SMS settings page. Your own Twilio connection takes precedence.
Update or disconnect
Use the same page to update credentials or disconnect. If you remove your own connection, inspect whether managed texting remains available before assuming all SMS is disabled.
