Check email domain authentication
Settings → Deliverability checks DNS records for your sending domain. It is a diagnostic aid, not a delivery guarantee.
Run the check
An administrator opens Settings → Deliverability, checks the domain and selected provider, and chooses Check DNS. Read SPF, DKIM and DMARC results individually. A failed request means the check could not complete; it does not establish that your domain is misconfigured.
Use provider records
Copy the exact hostnames, selectors and values from your provider’s domain-authentication setup. Suggested values in Stacks are guidance and can contain placeholders; do not paste a placeholder as a real record. Existing mail services may already depend on your DNS configuration.
Update and verify
Make the required changes with your DNS administrator, allow propagation, then repeat the provider verification and Check DNS. If a selector is not found, compare the selector supplied by your provider before assuming DKIM is absent.
Test sending separately
A DNS pass does not verify API credentials, sender authorization, delivery-event tracking or inbox placement. Send a test from Settings → Email and inspect the provider’s delivery result when troubleshooting.
