Create your account and set up your workspace
Getting started with Stacks takes just a few minutes, and there's nothing to pay — no credit card, ever. You'll pick a name for your workspace, confirm your email with a quick code, and land in your own Stacks with every tool already switched on. This guide walks you through creating the account and getting your workspace set up.
Before you start
- An email address you can check right now — Stacks sends a 6-digit code to confirm it (and you'll sign in the same way afterward — there are no passwords).
- A company or team name, plus a short handle for your web address (e.g. acme → acme.stackscrm.com).
- Nothing to pay. Signing up is free forever, with no card required.
Step by step
- Open the sign-up page. Head to stackscrm.com and start a free account. Enter your first name, last name, company name, and email. It's a short form — there's no plan to choose and no payment step.
- Pick your workspace URL. Choose a short handle — it becomes your web address, like acme.stackscrm.com. Stacks checks availability as you type and tells you the moment a handle is free. Handles are 3–50 characters, lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens; a few reserved words (like www, app or admin) aren't allowed.
- Verify your email. Stacks emails a 6-digit code. Enter it to finish creating your account — the code is good for 15 minutes, and you can resend a new one if it doesn't arrive. Behind the scenes, Stacks builds your workspace on its own dedicated database, makes you the admin, sets up a default Sales Pipeline, and switches on every built-in tool.
- Log in to your new workspace. You'll get a welcome email with a link to your workspace. Open it (or go straight to your-handle.stackscrm.com), enter your email, and Stacks sends a login code — type it in and you're inside. Stacks is passwordless, so it's the same quick step every time you sign in.
- Set up your workspace. In the app, open Settings → General and set your account name, timezone, and currency. You can also upload a company logo. Click Save Changes and you're set.
💡
All of this is free. Creating your account, setting up your workspace, every built-in tool, and unlimited team members cost nothing. AI Pro ($99/mo) is entirely optional — it adds AI and priority support, not extra features. You never need it to run your business on Stacks.
What each workspace setting does
- Account name. Shows up in your sidebar and on the emails Stacks sends on your behalf. This is your display name and you can change it any time.
- Timezone. Drives your task due dates, activity timestamps, and reminders, so everything reads in your local time.
- Currency. The default for deals and invoices (USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and more). Individual invoices can still use another currency when you need it.
- Logo. Optional. Upload a PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP up to 2MB; a wide format around 200×50px looks best.
Good to know
- One account per email. Each email address can own one workspace. If yours is already registered, Stacks points you to sign in instead of starting over.
- General Settings is admin-only. The person who signs up is automatically the admin, so you'll have access. Team members with other roles won't see this page.
- Your web address is chosen at sign-up. Your workspace name, timezone and currency can be changed any time in Settings → General; the subdomain itself is set when you create the account.
- No passwords to manage. Every sign-in uses a fresh 6-digit code sent to your email — nothing to remember or reset.
Frequently asked
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. Stacks is free forever with no card required. AI Pro ($99/mo) is optional — it adds AI features and priority support, and you can turn it on later from inside the app if you ever want it.
The verification code didn't arrive — what now?
Check your spam folder first. On the code screen you can resend a new one, and each code stays valid for 15 minutes. If the whole sign-up sits idle too long, just start again from the sign-up page.
Can I change my account name, timezone or currency later?
Yes — an admin can update all three any time in Settings → General. Only your workspace's web address (the subdomain) is fixed at sign-up.
