Manage your sales pipeline and deals

CRM · about 4 min · updated Aug 2026

Your pipeline is a visual board of every deal you're working, laid out by stage — so you can see at a glance what's in play, what it's worth, and what's about to close. In Stacks you add a deal, drag it from stage to stage as it moves forward, and mark it won or lost at the finish line. It's all free, with no cap on deals or pipelines.

Before you start

Step by step

  1. Open your pipeline. In the left menu under CRM, click Pipeline. You'll see a Kanban board with one column per stage and a card for each open deal. If you have more than one pipeline, use the Pipeline dropdown at the top to switch between them.
  2. Add a deal. Click + Add Deal. Give it a title and a value, choose the pipeline and stage, and — optionally — link a contact and company, set a win probability, and pick an expected close date. Leave probability blank and Stacks uses the stage's default. Save, and the deal shows up as a card in its stage.
  3. Move deals through your stages. As a deal progresses, drag its card to the next column. Stacks saves the move the moment you drop the card and updates the deal count on each column; the dollar totals and stats refresh the next time the board loads.
  4. Open a deal for the full picture. Click any card to open its detail page — value, contact, company, probability, expected close, plus notes, tasks, and an activity timeline. Click Edit to change any field.
  5. Close it out — won or lost. On an open deal, click Mark Won or Mark Lost (you can jot a reason for a loss). The deal leaves the board and files into your Deals list under its new status.
💡
It's all free. The whole pipeline — unlimited deals, unlimited pipelines, custom stages, and the drag-and-drop board — is free on every plan. There's no per-deal cap and no paid gate on any of it.

Good to know

Frequently asked

How do I mark a deal as won or lost?
Open the deal and click Mark Won or Mark Lost — you can note a reason for a loss. The deal moves off the board and into your Deals list under that status.
Can I have more than one pipeline?
Yes. Admins can create as many pipelines as you need under Settings → Pipelines — one per sales process — and everyone can switch between them from the dropdown on the board.
What happens to the counts and totals when I drag a card?
The deal count on each column updates the moment you drop the card, and Stacks saves the new stage right away. The dollar figures — each column's total, its weighted (expected) value, and the stats row up top — refresh the next time the board loads.
