Create and send an invoice

Build an invoice manually or use AI to draft its line items, then review it before saving or sending.

What do you need before sending an invoice?

Admins, managers and members can create invoices. Add a customer contact with an email address. To email the invoice, connect the workspace provider in Settings → Email. Online payment requires your own payment configuration in Settings → Payments.

Build the invoice

Open Invoicing → New Invoice. Choose the customer, issue and due dates, currency, line descriptions, quantities and rates. Review tax, discount, notes and total. Add from catalog can reuse saved products.

Use AI optionally

Describe the work in Create with AI. Review the proposed items, prices and quantities before applying them. Free includes 50 one-time AI credits. After those are used, upgrade to AI Pro to continue using AI. Manual entry needs no AI credits.

How do you save or send an invoice?

Save as Draft keeps the invoice for review. Save & Send saves it and attempts email delivery. If sending fails, read the error: a saved draft is not a sent invoice. Fix the provider or recipient problem, then send the existing invoice rather than creating a duplicate.

Share and track

The public link shows the invoice’s current status; copying or opening it does not mark a draft as sent. A successful email send means provider acceptance, not guaranteed inbox delivery. Use the invoice page to download a PDF, record payments or inspect the balance. Sent invoices are locked for editing; review cancellation options if a correction is needed.
